James Arthur McEvoy, Jr.
James Arthur McEvoy won the Silver Star as a Machinists Mate Second Class for extraordinary heroism and distinguished service while serving on Motor Torpedo Boat (PT-32) as part of Motor Boat Squadron Three from March 11 to March 13, 1942. All members involved in the PT Boat escape that took MacArthur out of the Philippines received a Silver Star.
McEvoy was captured on Corregidor and was a POW until Feb. 45 when they liberated Bilibid Prison Camp.
